At Bourbon Trading Co, we specialize in creating custom flight boards for an elevated tasting experience.
Our design process is a careful and deliberate one, as we want to make sure that the end result is not only beautiful but functional as well. We start by talking with our clients to determine their needs and preferences. Once we clearly understand what our clients are looking for, our lead designer and founder, Matt Snyder, will create a digital sketch of the flight board, considering the wood selection and any customizations requested. We aim to create a design that is visually stunning and enhances the tasting experience.
After the design is approved, we move on to the wood selection phase. We carefully choose high-quality woods that will look beautiful and hold up over time. We offer various wood options, including hickory, oak, cherry, maple, walnut, and more. Each piece of wood is hand-selected and inspected to ensure it meets our high standards.
Next, we move on to the prototype phase. Our team will create a prototype flight board to ensure it meets your expectations and is fully functional. It's an essential step in the process as it allows you to see and feel the final product before we move on to production.
Once the prototype is approved, we move on to the production phase. Our skilled artisans will cut and shape the wood to create the flight board or plinth, paying careful attention to every detail. Each piece is sanded and finished perfectly, creating a smooth surface that is easy to clean and maintain.
We take great pride in our work and strive to create a product that meets and exceeds your expectations. Most custom orders take 2-4 weeks to fulfill, as we want to ensure that each piece gets the time and attention it deserves.
At Bourbon Trading Co, we believe that a great tasting experience starts with the right tools. Let us create a custom flight board for you and elevate your tasting experiences to the next level.
