WOOD SAMPLE: Paduak with White Oak
Paduak, pronounced Padook, is an exotic bright orange wood! We've paired it with White Oak to create contrast. Paduak is currently the hardest of all the woods we offer. If you want heavy and dark, this is an excellent choice. Pockets can be sized to fit any glass up to 3" in diameter.
Wood Type: Temperate Hardwood
Grain Pattern: Typically Straight
Color: Pale with dark veins
Janka Hardness**: 1970
We will follow up with a phone call and email after an order is placed to start the design process.
** The Janka scale is used to determine the relative hardness of particular domestic or exotic wood species. The Janka test measures the amount of force required to embed a 0.444" steel ball into the wood to half of its diameter. Woods with a higher rating are harder than woods with a lower rating.
